Tax Credits Extended for Home Buyers

The federal government has extended the 1st time home buyers tax credit of up to $8000 until the end of April 2010. The government has also created a tax credit for "step up" home buyers to move into their next home of up to $6500. This tax credit also runs until the end of April 2010. Both credits require that you are under contract by the end of April 2010 on a home, and that you close by the end of June 2010.
